More than 85,000 young people can't live at home. These young people inspire us with their talents, experiences and energy. Through our national network of 55 partner Foyers, we inspire them to realise their power and purpose.
Our mission is to help our Foyers offer young people experiencing homelessness a safe, happy and encouraging place where they can live, learn and work. We innovate and deliver exciting programmes, meaningful partnerships and effective training to staff and residents in our network.
Our work encourages young people to aim high and dream big, rather than focusing on their difficulties and everyday challenges. Our programmes give them the life skills and experiences that will set them up to achieve their goals and gain sustainable independence.
We help young people to thrive – not just survive. Will you join our movement?
We are The Foyer Federation, and we are for youth.
Our Young People
The young people living in Foyers come to us during a period of homelessness. They’re aged between 16 and 25, and come from a range of different communities, cultures and socio-economic backgrounds. During their time in our Foyers, they work hard to develop
their skills in seven key areas, including education, employment and health, and look for
opportunities to show their abilities in the wider world.
Their paths may not have always been the easiest. But what defines them is their talent, drive and unique worldviews. Every individual that lives in one of our Foyers has valuable lived experience, as well as nuanced knowledge and understanding, to bring to a potential place of work.
Our young people are the key to building a sustainable economic future that works for every member of our society.
